Huawei P30 Pro will have a quad rear camera, CEO confirms through sample

At some point during the past year or two, the opt-out watermark "feature" that advertises what phone you took a photo with has become standard, especially on devices from Chinese companies. So it's more than a little bit ironic that this "feature" is now basically responsible for confirming one of the main details about Huawei's upcoming P30 Pro.

The handset will be unveiled in Paris on March 26, the company has just confirmed. And it will come with a quad rear camera setup, as revealed by the aforementioned watermark on a picture shared by Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei's consumer business group.

He took a shot of the moon and shared the image on Weibo to celebrate Lantern Festival, with a weird attempt at blurring the most relevant bits of the watermark (instead of just having turned it off completely from the camera app's settings).

In spite of this, we can tell that the second line says "Leica quad camera", while the obscured word in the first line is way too short for it to be "Mate 20" - and it wouldn't make sense for it to be that anyway, since it doesn't have a quad cam.
