Check out the first 48 MP camera samples of Xiaomi Mi 9

Xiaomi Mi 9 is arriving next week, and we know the phone will have three cameras. Today the co-founder and director of the Chinese division at Xiaomi Chuan Wang posted on his Weibo profile some camera samples with the new smartphone. First, he revealed an image of flowers in poor lighting, followed by two pictures of some cute doggies and a crab. The latter two have a watermark in the lower left corner, revealing the main shooter of the triple camera will be 48 MP.

All three photos have incredible details. Each flower petal receives a different amount of light, and the camera captured it perfectly. The actual plants are plastic, but colors are preserved, and shadows are realistic. Sadly, the metadata is gone after the photo was posted on Weibo, so we dont know any details like ISO and focal length.

The photo of the golden labradors is also pretty good in terms of details. Every piece of hair is distinguishable, you can make out the differences in the dogs noses, and theres even the reflection of Wang in the eyes of the pups. Of course, this photo is taken outside during the middle of the day in fairly nice weather, so its obvious the camera would perform well.

The third photo of the crab is taken in an aquarium, and aside from the moral point of keeping animals in cages, it looks incredible. All the details are present, including some air bubbles. Looking at the big chunk of air on the upper left side, we can see there is some stacking of pixels, meaning the camera received more info in one take - it was definitely taken with Night Mode.
