Apple analyst: 2018 iPad Pros with USB-C, Watch Series 4 with ECG and ceramic backs

Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo published a new note regarding some of the future Apple products coming later this year. He talks about the 2018 iPad Pros, Apple Watch Series 4 smartwatches, budget 6.1-inch iPhone and the affordable MacBook.

Let's start with the iPads. Along with the Face ID support, the tablets are expected to ship with USB-C charger to work with the USB-C connector, but the charger will shift to a one-piece design meaning you can't unplug the cable from the brick itself. The good news is that it will support up to 18W output.

Regarding the Apple Watch Series 4, Kuo says they will be all featuring ceramic-made backs and will offer thinner bezels all-round. Additionally, the wearables will feature EKG/ECG (electrocardiography) for better heart rate reading, which will be supplied by Osram.

Now some bad news for the those who are waiting on the budget iPhone. The note says that the 6.1-inch iPhone will be delayed until October due to some quality issues, which is in line with a rumor earlier this year stating that some LCD issues cause a delay in production.

Finally, there are a few words about the upcoming affordable MacBook. It is said to feature a Touch ID fingerprint reader, but no Touch Bar option. It will probably replace the current 12-inch MacBook.

We will know for sure tomorrow when Apple is going to announce its new trio of iPhones, Watch Series 4 and hopefully the new iPad Pro.
